WE ARE THE BLACK COLLECTIVE. WE CENTER THE EXPERIENCES OF THE AFRICAN DIASPORA IN FLORIDA.
WE ARE A MOVEMENT COMMITTED TO BUILDING AND PROMOTING A SHARED BLACK AGENDA TO ELEVATE POLITICAL CONSCIOUSNESS AND BUILD POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC POWER FOR BLACK COMMUNITIES.

Who we are

AS A RADICAL POLITICAL HOME, WE ORGANIZE AFRICAN DESCENDANTS TO BUILD REAL POWER IN OUR COMMUNITIES.
THROUGH STRATEGIC COMMUNITY BUILDING, WE FIGHT FOR LIBERATION AND SHAPE THE WORLD WE WANT TO LIVE IN.
BY GRASSROOTS ORGANIZING, WE TRANSFORM OUR HOMES, JOBS, AND RELATIONSHIPS, DRIVING IMPACTFUL CHANGE WHERE IT MATTERS MOST.
the history
IN 2016 A GROUP OF BLACK LEADERS IN MIAMI CAME TOGETHER OUT OF FRUSTRATION.
WE REALIZED THAT EXISTING ORGANIZATIONS ACROSS THE STATE WERE CONTINUOUSLY FAILING TO PROPERLY INVEST, SUPPORT AND BUILD BLACK POWER.
SO WE COMMITTED TO BUILD A BLACK LIBERATION STRATEGY. WE ARE THE BLACK COLLECTIVE WE ARE BLACK, WE ARE RADICAL, WE ARE A POLITICAL HOME FOR BLACK PEOPLE THAT ARE READY TO BUILD REAL POWER FOR BLACK COMMUNITIES.

The Noir Project
The Noir Project is a community building project by The Black Collective to create a Black agenda based on solutions to the issues our community cares about. It is a project designed to bridge the gap between what we fight for and what our people need to thrive. Through The Noir Project survey, we are committed to talking with the Black population in Miami-Dade and bringing folks from all walks of life into our organization.
